At the 2025 Astra TV Awards, voice actor Aleks Le was recognized for his performance in Solo Leveling Season 2, earning the award for Best Lead Voice-Over Performance. The ceremony, hosted by the Hollywood Creative Alliance, took place at the SLS Hotel in Beverly Hills, Los Angeles, on June 10, 2025.
Solo Leveling, based on the popular South Korean web novel and manhwa, has continued to expand its global fanbase following the release of its second season. Aleks Le’s portrayal of protagonist Sung Jinwoo has been widely praised, with him also winning the award Best English Voice Artist Performance at the Crunchyroll 2025 Anime Awards earlier this year.
Following his new win, Le shared his reaction on X (formerly Twitter), writing:
“I won Best Lead Voice-Over Performance at the ASTRAs & GOT A TROPHY🥹🙏 1st time an anime VA performance’s won at a Hollywood award show & I’m honored to have been nominated alongside US animation LEGENDS!”
He went on to express his gratitude to those involved in the production, including director Caitlin Glass, Crunchyroll, Japan’s A-1 Pictures, and Aniplex, adding:
“Many thanks to my director Caitlin Glass, CR, & our powerhouse teams in Japan A1 Pictures & Aniplex, AND ALL OF YOU! This win is for all of y’all.”
The amount of care that went into the Solo Leveling English dub was well noticed during its weekly run. In one example, Aleks Le shared an instance where he worked alongside Caitlin Glass to include a scene from the manhwa which had been removed from the Japanese version.
