The Beginning After the End (TBATE) Season 2 Anime Announced for Spring 2026

Crunchyroll has confirmed that The Beginning After the End (TBATE) anime will return for a Season 2 next spring. The announcement comes ahead of the Season 1 finale, set to premiere next Wednesday, June 18. As part of the lead-up to the finale, Crunchyroll has released an exclusive clip featuring a glimpse of Arthur Leywin’s updated design from a post-credits scene.

Commenting on the upcoming season, TurtleMe stated, “I’m excited for viewers to see more of Arthur’s journey on screen with Season 2! It’s been an eye-opening experience being part of such a large endeavor with Crunchyroll, Tapas, and A-CAT. TBATE Season 2 – Arthur Character Design

The production for the second season will be again led by director Keitaro Motonaga (The Kingdoms of Ruin) at studio A-CAT. The rest of the main staff will also return and includes Takamitsu Kono (A Returner’s Magic Should Be Special) handling series composition, Masami Sueoka (The Strongest Magician in the Demon Lord’s Army was a Human) as character designer, and Keiji Inai (Is It Wrong to Try to Pick Up Girls in a Dungeon?) composing the music.

Asa Suehira, Chief Content Officer at Crunchyroll, noted the series’ continued strong performance, stating, “The Beginning After The End continues to be a top fantasy series on Crunchyroll, with strong fan anticipation for the next season. The unique series has sparked passionate discussion among Crunchyroll’s global fan community and that will continue in the new season.”
